Communicating With Parents

2Because we want you to share in your child’s experience at The Malvern School, we provide numerous opportunities to stay informed on the progress of your child’s development and to stay up-to-date on activities occurring at school.

Daily Profile reports are prepared for each child.  The daily profile contains an overview of the activities in which your child participated as well as information on lunch, nap and toileting. In addition to the daily profile, parents of infants receive a Daily Activity report detailing your child’s diaper changes, feedings, and nap times.

Parent Conferences are scheduled twice per year and more often by request.  Conferences provide an opportunity to meet with the teacher to review your child’s developmental progress.

Information Boards are located outside each classroom as well as in the main foyer.  Information about upcoming school and community events, a detailed weekly curriculum plan, and the classroom’s daily schedule are posted on the boards.

Monthly Communications include a newsletter, snack calendar and school calendar. These are sent home to keep you up-to-date on school activities and special events as well as ideas that tie-in to the school’s curriculum to do at home with your child.

Other communications include informal notes, memos and Quality Assurance Parent Surveys.
